Bancroft Dollar-A-Day Giving Campaign
updated for 2021-2022
Bancroft’s annual giving campaign, Dollar-A-Day is our biggest and most important fundraising initiative of the year. We are very grateful for your past support and hope to continue to grow participation in this vital campaign this year. The requirements on our students and teachers are increasing and your support helps to overcome these challenges and enhance their achievements.
What is the Bancroft Dollar-A-Day Campaign?
The Bancroft Dollar-A-Day Campaign helps fill the financial gap caused by continued state budget cuts to education. California sits near the bottom nationally in nearly every significant measure of school funding and school staffing. Adjusted for cost of living, California ranks 41st in per-pupil funding. California is 45th in student-teacher ratios, and 48th in staff per student. The requirements on our students and teachers are increasing and your support helps to overcome these challenges and enhance their achievements. $365 per student is requested at the start of the school year to jump start our fundraising and to ensure our continued success in providing the best educational experience possible.
How Will the Money Be Spent?
The PFC plans the budget for the next school year in the spring. However, last and this year have been unprecedented in our school's history. The PFC will soon decide how we can best support our teachers and our students. Join the PFC meetings to make your voice heard. Here is how money has been spent in the past.
Your Contribution Counts
We are asking every Bancroft family to support our school by making a donation. A successful campaign will allow us to fund three instructional assistants to support the Learning Center and in-class instruction; an instructional assistant to support the STEAM lab and Maker’s Space; a garden educator; a site tech to support the classroom technology; student laptops and other classroom technology; classroom materials; the school library; family events; and much, much more!
Your Support Matters
Your support sends a clear message. To teachers and administration, it says you value and endorse their efforts to continue to make Bancroft an exceptional learning environment for our children. To our community, parent support demonstrates that we value the educational experience and the people and programs that make it so special. And to the companies we approach for outside donations, your support means they are partnering with an engaged and involved parent community.
Every family. Every dollar. Every child.
Our goal this year is 100% participation. We are asking every Bancroft family to support our school by making a donation! We know every family situation is different, and we encourage every family to participate regardless of the dollar amount. No amount is too small, and every dollar makes a difference! We also offer installment plans and the ability to donate throughout the year. This is our opportunity as parents to directly influence the quality of education our children receive THIS YEAR.
How Can I Donate?
New for this year, you can now donate online directly through Konstella and your tax-deductible donation receipt will be available instantly!
Thank you for your participation!
