Bancroft Dollar - A - Day Giving Campaign
updated for 2019-2020

Welcome new and returning families to the 2019-20 school year!  This marks the 10th year for Bancroft’s Annual Dollar-A-Day campaign, our biggest and most important fundraising initiative of the year.  We have heard your request and eliminated the separate Excellence in Education campaign to update and streamline the efforts into a single PER STUDENT donation request.
This year we anticipate spending over $210,000 on additional staffing, amazing learning experiences, classroom materials, and enriching activities planned for your students. We are very grateful for your past support and hope to continue to grow participation in this vital campaign this year.
What is the Bancroft Dollar-A-Day Campaign?
The Bancroft Dollar-A-Day Campaign helps fill the financial gap caused by continued state budget cuts to education. California sits near the bottom nationally in nearly every significant measure of school funding and school staffing. Adjusted for cost of living, California ranks 41st in per-pupil funding. California is 45th in student-teacher ratios, and 48th in staff per student. The requirements on our students and teachers are increasing and your support helps to overcome these challenges and enhance their achievements.
This year $365 per student is requested at the start of the school year to jump start our fundraising and ensure our continued success in providing the best educational experience possible. We are also looking ahead to the need to replace the Chromebooks that have served our students well over the past 4-5 years. We are asking for a Technology Boost of an additional $100 to fund our technology reserve to replace Chromebooks as they reach the end of their useful life.
Your Contribution Counts
We are asking every Bancroft family to support our school by making a donation. A successful campaign will allow us to fund six instructional assistants to support the Learning Center and in-class instruction; an instructional assistant to support the STEAM lab and Maker’s Space (NEW this year!); a garden educator; a site tech to support the classroom technology; student laptops and other classroom technology; classroom materials; the school library; family events; and much, much more!
Your Support Matters
Your support sends a clear message.  To teachers and administration, it says you value and endorse their efforts to continue to make Bancroft an exceptional learning environment for our children.  To our community, parent support demonstrates that we value the educational experience and the people and programs that make it so special. And to the companies we approach for outside donations, your support means they are partnering with an engaged and involved parent community.
Every family.  Every dollar. Every child.
Our goal this year is 100% participation.   We know every family situation is different, and we encourage every family to participate regardless of the dollar amount.  No amount is too small and every dollar makes a difference!  We also offer installment plans and the ability to donate throughout the year. This is our opportunity as parents to directly influence the quality of education our children receive this year.
Please complete the Bobcat Donation Form and Receipt and return at Info Day or at the office.
The form is part of the info day packet, but you can also download it here and return it to the office at any time.
Thank you for your participation!
